Sliding Tracked Gates run off a track which is concreted into the ground and are installed when there are requirements for larger openings. 

Sliding tracked gates are a less expensive to manufacture than a Cantilever Sliding Gate though the cost of installing the track can outweigh the saving as the are mechanically simpler.
